Celebrates the Divine Liturgy at St. Mary, Orange, and lays a foundation stone for a hall
August 14, 2005

Sunday August 14, 2005 was a thrilling day in the life of St. Mary’s Syriac Orthodox Church. The feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Mother of God, was joyfully celebrated by our beloved Archbishop, His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan assisted by the parish priest Rev. Fr. George Touma. It was also a remarkable and blissful moment when His Eminence consecrated and installed the corner stone for the new fellowship hall building in the midst of our delighted and happy parishioners who gave thanks to the Lord and prayed for the success of this vital project.

The new fellowship hall building will be raised on 7000 SF with a two story section. The building will include the following :

1 – Social hall for 250 persons.

2 – Four Sunday School Classrooms.

4 – Office for priest & Parish Council.

5 – Bathrooms (Ladies & Gentlemen).

6 – Service area.

7 – Storage room.

8 – Stage.

9 – Bar room.
